Tuna is a saltwater fish that belongs to the Thunnini tribe, a subgrouping of the Scombridae family, same as mackerel. The Thunnini family comprise 15 species, the sizes of which vary greatly, ranging from the bullet tuna up to the Atlantic bluefin tuna. The bullet tuna can grow 50cm and weigh 1.8kg whilst the bluefin can reach 2m and weigh 684kg and can live up to 50 years.
